Where to honeymoon in the Europe or the Mediterranean?

For a honeymoon, you can go to Italy. Start in Venice and ride some boats in the canals, then go to Verona and visit the Balcony of Romeo and Juliet, next to Florence, Siena, Cinqueterre, down to Rome, and if you have time rent a car and drive around the Amalfi coast, spend a night in Positano, and check out Pompeii and Ercolano, and before the last eve of the trip go into the Museo Archeologico Nazionale in Naples and ask for admission into the Gabinetto Segreto to see the old "toys" adults used in the B.C. era. Or you could skip that and take a boat to Capri or Sardinia, or check out Taormina in ENE Sicily.

Another suggestion is to take an Adriatic cruise from Venice and check out Croatia, stopping at numerous islands and get down to Dubrovnik.

London, Paris, Monaco, Rome, and Nice are also great cities to visit and honeymoon. For a honeymoon, I would probably suggest some of the popular Mediterranean cities. If you want something exotic try Morocco. It's not far from Europe and has a lot of different sights to see that you won't find in Europe.

You also can go to Greece for honeymoon- head to Athens, spent 1 day max here looking at all the historical stuff, and then head to the port! From there take a 4 hr. ferry ride to Naxos, Paros, and Santorini. Spent a week there last summer, and it makes my heart drop when I think about it, b/c I wish to go back so badly.

It's a lazy, laidback, beach town. Enjoy yourself, kick back, relax on Naxos, and then take ferries to neighboring islands.

Honeymoon in Cancun

Cancun is a wonderful destination for Newlyweds. The weather is almost always warm and sunny. The beaches are beautiful and provide a romantic setting to watch breathtaking, gorgeous sunset each evening. Almost all of the hotels offer rooms or suites with large balconies and beautiful views of the Caribbean Sea, as well as offering all inclusive packages if you choose. This means you pay one price which includes all of your meals, drinks, gratuities and also many of the resorts daily activities. But, choosing all inclusive is not a must in Cancun as it is on most other Caribbean islands. Cancun restaurants and bars have very reasonable prices and Cancun is also a very safe place to venture out day or night to go shopping or out to dinner. As this is not the case with many of the Caribbean Islands. They are almost always all inclusive because they do not want you to leave the resort. Many of the larger, well known in Cancun offer activities during the day on the grounds of the resort as well as daily excursions to destinations in and around Cancun. So, you can choose to never leave your resort or hotel room while in Cancun on your honeymoon, or explore the area by taking day trips to the Mayan ruins, go snorkeling in the aqua blue sea, or discover many of the outoor and indoor shopping malls Cancun has to offer. If you do decide to venture out, following is a a few couple friendly activities.

The jungle tour- the two of you ride in a two seater small boat and follow the tour guide through the jungle until it opens up and you are in the middle of the Caribbean about to go snorkeling around a huge reef. You will see the most spectacular, colorful fish imaginable. Be sure to bring an underwater camera with you to capture it all.

Another fun, day trip is to take a ferry ride to isla Mujeres. That is the island of women. It is a small island that is a short boat ride from Cancun. Once there the two of you can rent a scooter and ride around the small island. You will see outdoor flea markets, high-end jewelry stores and delicious restaurants. And, you will even see the local people and children coming or going to school or work. Isa Mujeres is a totally different experience than being in the heart of the Cancun tourist area, but it is a must see and also a very enjoyable day trip to make.

These are just two of the many activities offered to you in beautiful Cancun. You can do as much or as little as you want to once you arrive. And, whatever you choose you are almost certain to have the trip of a lifetime- an unforgettable, picture perfect honeymoon. Also, if you are like most vacationers to Cancun you will return year after year. It seems you never run out of things to do in Cancun.By: Charles Pagliaro
